The UK’s latest fashion craze will descend on Stamford this weekend.

Steampunk Festival will take place at Stamford United Reformed Church Hall today and tomorrow in aid of Stamford branch of Cats Protection.

The cultural, music, fashion and arts movement celebrates a make-believe Victorian world that never was, encompassing airships, top hats, goggles, ladies in corsets, air kraken, steam driven and mechanical devices, copper, brass and leather,

The event has no age boundaries and offers old-fashioned parlour games, poetry, teas and cakes, music and competitions.
