I received a message in my intray some time ago about a film called Dimensions. I was rather busy and couldn’t follow it up in the timely manner that is deserved of anything that is welcome to be placed in the pages of the Journal.
Dimensions stars Henry Lloyd-Hughes, who you may remember from The Inbetweeners and Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and Camilla Rutherford who is known for her work in Gosford Park and The Darjeeling Limited.
The film has been allocated many awards, but most importantly, “Best Film” at the High Seas Steampunk Film Festival.
The film is available now to rent or buy online. Have a look at the trailer which is brilliantly acted, the sets lovingly recreated from the 1920’s and the cinematography is superb with divine colour and sublime depth of field only gleaned from using full-frame video equipment.
The moral of this post? Make sure you follow up news stories or you’ll more than likely be missing out on something wonderful.
Get a long and see it if you can, it looks splendidly made and has had very good reviews from some very well respected film critics. You can find out more here: Dimensions: a line, a loop, a tangle of threads
