Flossie’s Kitchen – the alternative cake company – have asked me what flavour I think sums up steampunk and I’m stumped, so I thought I’d spread it out into the aether.
What do you think?

Why, Peppermint!
I imagine it would be served with tea, but not be tea flavored. Perhaps a vanilla cupcake with butter cream frosting?
To me, Steampunk is not about any one flavor – in my limited experience, it celebrates diversity. But I’m probably safe in saying that doing things the hard way is a core value. Quality over convenience! (No synthetic ingredients; organic eggs, milk and sugar. The egg beater should be hand churned, or at least appear to be. And each batch should be served fresh from the oven.)
That probably isn’t helpful. Sorry.

Brown, of course.
(If ‘red’ counts as a flavour for Slurpees…)
Ugh. Weird double-post. Wasn’t intended; sorry again.
Buterscotch!
Butterscotch even
Rum! (for the Airship Pirates anyway)
