The style of this film is absolutely breath-taking, and the visual storytelling is superb. Even without the sound, I am sure we could all understand what happens in this tale about love and loss. So, when you’ve got half an hour (and a box of tissues close at hand) try this short film on for size.
Like what you see? Director Andrey Shushkov doesn’t do a lot of animation, but they all employ a similar shadowy aesthetic. I don’t know about you, but I find it both haunting and compelling. I hope he brings us more quality animated films out of Russia in the future
