As if yesterday’s announcement of a Limited Edition 12″ vinyl signed by BB Blackdog wasn’t enough, today’s prize is one of similar (reputable) size and weight. Gary Nicholls is a Fine Art photographer. From dipping his toe into the steampunk photography circles four years ago, he’s now wading around splashing all the girls. His Imaginarium project has already seen the first book published and his images printed onto metal and incorporating a super high resolution printing system with a “floating metal” that makes the pictures appear back lit to pop out.
Gary’s hard work and determination has meant that he managed to get a book released in 2016. The Imaginarium: Eva’s Story proved extremely popular and has had its run extended so is still available today. Stand alone images have also become so highly sought after that Gary has released several smaller sized limited edition prints. They all still incorporate the floating metal super high resolution printing system, but are a smaller size, so more affordable.
Gary travels all over the world promoting The Imaginarium. It’s an intricate story of magic and betrayal; hopefully with a happy ending.. It even stars well known steampunk personalities such as Lord Montague Jacque Fromage, Scarlett Butterfly and Julia Scott.
The best bit though
Here’s the best bit, though; Gary has donated an actual print from the Imaginarium to the April Steampunk Giveaway! This will be a physical print sent to your door. The image that is up for grabs is the Alice through the Magnifying Glass. Starring steampunk burlesque performer Scarlett Butterfly and Gary himself, the print is on archival paper and worth £95!
The item up for grabs on 20th April is an actual print from Gary Nicholls’ Imaginarium worth £95!
We would like to extend our thanks to Gary for donating his fabulous prize for the Steampunk Giveaway!
