Steampunk Anniversary Giveaway, April 26th – LS Kilroy novel

LS KilroyYou may have noticed that on occasion we’ve posted dyas that gave away two prizes. Sometimes the additional prize was a copy of The Vitruvian Heir by LS Kilroy. That’s because she sent three copies when I asked for one! That’s how generous steampunks are and I love that this global community is still so close knit that everyone steps up to help each other and goes that extra mile.

LS Kilroy – The Vitruvian Heir

The Vitruvian Heir is a political thriller set in the distant future. After a series of global catastrophes and a famine has wiped out a large portion of the population. Eventually an Emperor arrives and the world looks to history to maintain order.  This in turn sees the rise of religion headed by a sadistic Bishop and the oppression of women. In fact, the story is told so perfectly, you can be mistaken to thinking it’s a historical drama. It’s not until the mention of Yoctosteam that we start to get an idea of a different world.

The Vitruvian Heir won a 7 out of 10 Jolly Good Show award from Steampunk Journal for it’s great writing, nice pace and interesting twist.
