I recently posted about the gorgeous new Petzval 85 lens from the Lomography Society and they’ve just sent an electronic telegram about a new lens that they’re setting up a Kickstarter campaign for.
Based on the technology used to renew the Petzval 85, the Petzval 58 is a 58mm focal length Bokeh Control Art lens. For those that are unfamiliar with bokeh, it’s Japanese for “blur” and is used to describe the out of focus backgrounds of photographs. The Bokeh Control lens, you can swirl the bokeh to create artistic effects in the lens. The 58 lens has a new control ring to allow you to judge how much of the swirl you include in the shot. Have a read of the Press Release below for more information. Continue reading “Lomography Society look to Kickstarter to revive Victorian lens”
